Accessibility

The Bach Choir of Pittsburgh highly values making our performances and programming accessible to everyone.

Email questions about accessibility to info@bachchoirpittsburgh.org with “Accessibility Coordinator” in the Subject line, or call (412) 241-4044. We currently do not have access to TTY/TDD systems.

Bach Choir performances are held at many different venues throughout the Pittsburgh region. All venues and facilities are wheelchair-accessible. We provide wheelchair and companion seating, and visitors are escorted to their seats at their request. Most venues have accessible parking spaces that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you would like to reserve an accessible parking space, please contact the Accessibility Coordinator.

Upon being given sufficient notice before a specific performance (most performances are General Admission), we provide seating for persons with hearing loss. We’re in the process of accessing assistive listening devices and systems.

Due to the program booklet development timeline, we are unable to provide braille versions of booklets for actual performance dates. Otherwise, we will provide modified versions of booklets in braille as resources allow.

We try to make participation in the Bach Choir fully accessible. If you would like to audition for the Choir and desire accessibility information, please contact our Accessibility Coordinator.

The Bach Choir is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so will follow current standards and guidelines (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA).
