Virtual Summer Sing 2020

Miss the camaraderie of singing with a choir? Keen to keep your vocal cords flexed? Come join us at the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh’s Virtual Summer Sing!

Registration is now open. The deadline for submitting recordings is Friday, July 31st – all day.

The repertoire for this year’s Summer Sing is Freedom’s Plow, music by Rollo Dilworth based on poetry by Langston Hughes. Links to the sheet music and a conducting and accompaniment guide track will be provided at registration.

Registrants will be invited to participate in one, or both, optional Zoom rehearsals on July 21st at 7:30pm and July 28th at 7:30pm for some vocal warm-ups, a meet & greet and discussion of the music.  It will be an opportunity to review the virtual process.

The audio/visual recording can easily be done on a smartphone, laptop or tablet.  Participants will be guided through the submission process.  A final digital performance will be published soon afterwards.
